UX/UI Design
The client’s aim was to create a responsive web app for educational purposes that caters to the needs of four distinct user roles: admin, teacher, student, and parent. The goal was to provide each role with tailored functionalities and interfaces, ensuring efficient management, effective teaching, enhanced learning, and active parental involvement.

Wireframes
Wireframes provide a clear visual representation of the app’s layout and functionality, helping to clarify requirements and align stakeholders early in the process. They allow to identify and address usability issues, save time and resources by enabling quick iterations, and focus on creating an intuitive user experience and efficient navigation flow.

User Roles
Students
Access course materials, complete assignments, manage their classes, and track their own progress.
Teachers
Create and manage course content, assignments, and grades, and interact with students and parents.
Parents
Monitor their child’s progress, view grades and assignments, and communicate with teachers.
Admins
Manage the overall system, including user accounts, permissions, content, and system settings.

Students’ Pages
The student’s pages serve as a central hub for accessing course materials, submitting assignments, tracking progress, and engaging with peers and instructors, fostering a dynamic and interactive learning environment tailored to individual needs and preferences.

Admin Pages

Admin pages are crucial for managing the overall system and ensuring smooth operations.
Clear Navigation
Intuitive and organized menus to help admins quickly find and access different sections and features.
Efficient Workflows
Streamlined workflows for common tasks, such as content management, user management, and system settings.
Consistent Layouts
Maintain consistency in layouts and design patterns to reduce the learning curve and enhance usability.

Teachers’ Pages
Teachers’ pages provide educators with tools to create and manage course content, assignments, grades, and interactions with students and parents.
They include features for lesson planning, content sharing, grade tracking, communication, and collaboration, facilitating efficient teaching and fostering student engagement.

Parents’ Pages
Parents’ pages offer features for monitoring their child’s academic progress, accessing grades and assignments, communicating with teachers, and staying informed about school events and announcements.

Colors & Typeface
Purple and orange are a good choice for an educational platform due to their associations with trust and energy, while the Lato font complements the modern and professional feel, enhancing readability and consistency.
These solutions were carefully selected to align with the platform’s branding, ensuring a cohesive and memorable user experience.

Design System & UI Kit
Using a design system helps with maintaining consistency, efficiency, and scalability throughout the design process. It provides a centralized source of truth for design elements, such as colors, typography, icons, and components, ensuring a harmonious user experience across all screens and devices.

Challenge #1
Different User Roles
Distinct user responsibilities and permissions.
Solution
We conducted thorough user research to identify the specific tasks and responsibilities associated with each user role, and create detailed personas outlining their needs, goals, and pain points.
Challenge #2
Complex Documentation
Complex documentation may be needed to outline the specific tasks, responsibilities, and access levels associated with each role.
Solution
We organized documentation hierarchically, with clear categorization and navigation paths, to help users easily locate relevant information based on their roles and tasks.
